About
Ashlyn Miles is an imaginative realism artist residing in California where she creates work inspired by experiences traveling around the world, local landscapes, and fantasy. She works both from life and imagination, creating work en plein air and adding surrealist elements while back in her studio. She earned her Bachelor of Arts at the University of California, Irvine where she was an honors student, creating a body of work that integrated photography, painting, and ceramic sculpture. She then went on to complete one year abroad at the Swedish Academy of Realist Art to study the traditional approach to art where everything was done using the comparative method from life observation, drawing casts and figures. She currently hosts arts and crafts workshops and is a vendor at local festivals and events, selling her handmade art. She hopes to continue seeing the world and capturing it through her lens, to leave a positive impact to those who experience her art.
